Victoria Will Soon Be Running

Tuesday March 3rd was a big day for Victoria Yamely Zambrano Romero.

She celebrated her sixth birthday and went through a complex four-and-a-half hour surgery.

Doctors removed hardware from a previous operation, and cut and reshaped bones to correct the alignment of her left hip.

Maria Susana Llallico Quishpe, 50, is no stranger to CAMTA.

She had a total right hip replacement in 2025, and had total hip replacement surgery on her left side on Monday March 2nd.

She is happy to be able to walk and live without pain. Maria Susana laughed when asked if she feels like a bionic woman.
