A Future Volleyball Star

Johao Jeanpierre Gutierrez Flores loves playing volleyball on the boys team at school. The 14-year-old was born with a dislocated radial head in his left elbow and it hasn’t kept him from playing the sport, until recently. Johao has been experiencing significant pain when using his left arm.

Johao was smiling following his surgery. CAMTA doctors cut off two centimetres from the proximal end of the radius, which will relieve his pain.

His hope is that playing without pain will help him to become a star member of his volleyball team.

He is pictured here with his father Jhonathan.
